Super Temp

"Yesh Me Lord.... Work Work Work....."

1st off day since we started work. Fate has it that I am working as a temp at Starhub CSC with ChanHui (AKA Lao Zhu =D). We were sec sch classmates back then. He went to Jacinta for the job (with took like weeks to process and get him the job).

It was a shock to JoJo, the referal I had from JH, at the job agency. I appeared like a jack-in-a-box to her. It was the shortest job interview and window period to start work I had. Hence the mental adredeline rush I had. Apologies to friends for being more "lunatical" and "lame" than usual. Just a day, back from China, which I slept through, (prob felt tired due to suspected heat exhaustion.... China was a FREAKING avg 35-36 degree celcius) went down to the agency on monday, after which, JoJo wanted me to go for another interview with Starhub after one with her (2 interviews in a day, less than 3 hrs).

The next day, JoJo called up to tell me I got the job and was to be at her office by 12 to sign a contract and I was to go down to Starhub HQ to collect my polo-tee uniform.

After a much enjoyed Childrens' Day / Hari Raya, what lies ahead is work woork woooork....

This is the probably one of the busiest weeks I had after being at HeadMed, only this, is physically and mentally draining (having to run around to sign contracts and collect uniform).

With less than day's worth of experience, I tried to attend to customers. It was a roller-coaster-like experience. When the customers seem to be speaking French or German, cold sweat broke out. I could barely understand, what I needed to do to help the customer. 无头苍蝇,横冲直撞 。

It was then, CH told me that Rachelle actually told him that the 2 of us was to replace about 6-7 other part-time and temp staff, tentatively leaving next week, to be the legendary "Super Temps" -.-".

The one thing Im glad, is that we wre able to rise to the expectation of Michelle, the manager who took us in for the job. She was rather surprised to have someone able to take customers alone with just barely 1 day of OTJ training. But trust me, it is scary enough to look the customer in the eye and smile to assure that you can help and at the same time, not knowing where to go in the system to change =.=(it takes a certain skill of "blur-look" to not show the uncertainty at all wahahaha =x). All I can say now is, Bring IT On. =d "吃的苦衷苦,方为任上人".
