Aft 4 weeks in SH CSC... Its proven.... People these days are getting more and more demanding and taking things for granted.
Probably, its due to past bad experiences, this I have to agree, if its elderly customers....
HOWEVER, if its a young kid, they are either really ill-bred, brainless, or totally oblivious to the fact that they stick out like a sore thumb is the vast field of "well-mannered behaviour".
These kids act as though Customer Service is there to be a slave to them rather than assistance they can rely on when they need help
Thinking back earlier on in NS.....
When we talked back or make a little mistake, we will gt it...... meaning... a minimum of 200 push-ups IF we are lucky. On bad hair days 400s are like bread and butter.... 1 1/2 years down the road... Worst days, try eating dinner with trembling arms or no appetite at all frm exhaustion....... =.=
The juniors are NOT allowed to be pumped unless Physical Training.. i mean... WTH? no informal corporal punishments? this = undiscplined ill-bred kids to be let off and NS is now just a liability to be served by young boys to be older boys....
This is an explicit illustration of "to spare the rod and spoil the child".
Kids being over-protected and spoilt is becoming a common sight
This is the most memorable even in my life in Cust Service.
This is the whole story:
2 kids came into our ctr and claiming that they brought their ICs at the info ctr and they need a replacement SIM. Apparently, the younger bro came to my counter and I did the "customary" hellos and asked what could I do for them. The younger bro replied that they needed new SIM as they lost their present one. I asked for ICs and he could not produce either his or his mother's (the sub of the acc is their mum as they are too young to have their own acc).
I told him since he could not produce any ICs, I am unable to replace his lost SIM. When he told his elder brother, his brother flew into rage and demanded that I replace the lost SIM and that "permission was given by his mother" to do so, in a very ill-mannered tone. As I was with another customer, all I could do was to keep quiet to prevent any unhappiness among other customers.
1 comment from me, he is one immature insect and a burden to our precious mother earth
At the end of the day, "The Customer Is Always Right" in customer service. I am happy that instead if letting this spoil my day, it has becomed the talk of the town! ;)
Im glad that NS made me realize that teamwork is still the most important in anything. As a staff at the counter, its our duty to serve assistance to customers in need and the duty of the managers to help us out in sticky situations in times like this. Cheers to the 4 lovely ladies and everyone else as well. =D
Its just e level of maturity that kids have these days that worry me. Kids getting more and more brazen and taking things for granted.
Its people whom u care about, that you will want them to change for the better and scold them for the mistakes they make. Its people you have given up hope on, that you ignore and allow them carry on as they wish.
Friends scold, teach, critize you coz they really care, nt coz they hate you.

haha whats with this emo blog. ya what u have said is quite true. but over my side, im facing more from those older generation customers who think that they are right. no matter what sh did for them, they take it as for granted - "a must do svr". quite pissed off with all these uncles and aunties. screwed them!! =x your blog allows any vulgarities?
wow man, seems like SH really gave u a deeper insight about the reality of the world. What on earth is the world becoming? Forget it man, kids r just kids. Lyk wad u've mentioned, probably after NS they'll grow up (hopefully). Haha this blog u've posted is like a work-life diary whereby employees vent their frustrations and tell the world based on personal experiences about what's going on in the organization during their daily work. Heh, bear with it bro, ur gonna be there jus for awhile. In the service line, its all about "emotional-labour". Sometimes when ur not really feeling good, u still gotto smile & serve. Jus try n stay happy n perhaps, u could piss em off as well! haha way to go!
Puke:Lol.... no vulgarties pls...but... if u wan... only abbreviations allowed... or pls use "****" thank you... =D
Casper:hahaha.... sure bro... nt venting la... more of sharing experiences.... but e whole gang in TM CSC ROCKSZZSSZZ... ;)
